PART TIME BOARD OPERATOR
Thunder 103.9, True Country 106.3 and WCVL AM 1550 Radio in Crawfordsville Indiana are taking applications for a part-time board operator. Availability on nights and weekends is a must. Previous radio experience is a plus. Some on air work might be necessary. We have an immediate opening. This position would be great for a student wanting to start a career in the broadcast industry or for anyone wanting a part-time job to supplement their income. On-Air
The goal of this program would be for the student to become an on-air announcer on both stations. We would ask that candidates be willing to go on air in a live or voice tracked capacity. Training and coaching would be included. There would also be an opportunity to work on promotions, commercial production and public service campaigns.
Sales and Marketing
The goal of this program would be for the student to prepare and sell advertising to businesses in the area. Students would learn the process of prospecting, making appointments with advertisers, preparing for sales calls, conducting a needs analysis with potential advertisers, designing a marketing plan for the business and putting together the creative program that will increase sales and or name awareness.
Promotion
The goal of this program would be for the student to become the Promotions Director of the radio stations. The student would oversee the planning and implementation of station promotions. The student would be in charge of internal communication at the radio stations to keep the on-air staff and sales department appraised of current promotions.
